Fried lumpia

  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 lb small shrimp (or ground meat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 cups shredded carrots
  • 1 package lumpia wrappers
  • egg wash
  • oil to fry
  1. Saute minced garlic and onions in vegetable oil. Add meat and heat until fully cooked.
  2. Stir in cabbage, carrots, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Cook until cabbage just begins to cook down. Drain and allow to cool.
  3. Spoon filling into wrappers, then roll and seal with egg wash.
  4. The rolled lumpia can be kept frozen until ready to fry. When ready to fry, heat frying oil in a pan. Deep fry rolls until well-browned and crispy. Serve hot.
